Anime distributor AnimEigo has unveiled five new anime home video licenses during its Otakon 2026 panel, bringing a mix of beloved classics, cult favorites, and modern hits back to collectors. The newly announced Blu-ray lineup includes Antique Bakery, Dog of Flanders: The Movie, ReLIFE, Ruin Explorers: Fam & Ihrie, and Welcome to Irabu's Office, with releases planned throughout 2027.
Antique Bakery Returns on Blu-ray
Based on the award-winning manga by Fumi Yoshinaga, Antique Bakery is a heartwarming slice-of-life series centered around a charming pastry shop and its unforgettable staff. The anime has been difficult to find for years, making this Blu-ray release a welcome addition for longtime fans and newcomers alike.
AnimEigo confirmed that the series will receive a Blu-ray release sometime in 2027.
Dog of Flanders: The Movie Gets a 4K Restoration
One of the biggest announcements was Dog of Flanders: The Movie, the 1997 theatrical remake of the beloved 1975 anime. AnimEigo is preparing a new 4K restoration, which will also include the original uncut Pioneer English dub.
The emotional classic is currently scheduled for a late 2027 Blu-ray release.
ReLIFE Complete Series Comes Back
The popular 2016 romance and school drama ReLIFE is also joining AnimEigo's catalog. The upcoming Blu-ray release will include:
- All 13 television episodes
- The complete 4-episode OVA finale

Fantasy adventure fans can also look forward to Ruin Explorers: Fam & Ihrie, the four-episode 1995 OVA. AnimEigo confirmed the series will receive a new HD restoration, giving the cult classic a fresh presentation for modern audiences in 2027.

The psychological comedy Welcome to Irabu's Office (also known as Kuuchuu Buranko) is finally getting its first Blu-ray release. The complete 11-episode television anime will arrive in 2027, giving fans another chance to experience one of anime's most visually unique series.
