Fans of the Pretty Cure franchise in Taiwan will soon be able to experience the latest magical girl adventure on the big screen, as You and Idol Precure the Movie: For You! Our Kirakilala Concert! is officially set to open in Taiwanese theaters on August 21, 2026. The release will include both subtitled and dubbed screenings, giving audiences multiple ways to enjoy the film.
The Taiwanese theatrical release follows the film's successful debut in Japan, where it premiered on September 12, 2025 as the 34th Pretty Cure feature film. The movie is based on You and Idol Precure♪, the 22nd television installment in Toei Animation's long-running magical girl franchise.
A Musical Adventure Awaits
Directed by Koji Ogawa and written by Hiroyuki Yoshino, the film follows Uta Sakura (Cure Idol) and her friends as they are invited to perform at the universe's biggest idol festival on the mysterious AiAi Island. What begins as a dazzling concert soon turns into an unexpected adventure when a mysterious threat places both the island and the world in danger, forcing the Precure team to uncover the island's hidden secrets and protect everyone's smiles.
The movie also features crossover appearances from the Wonderful Pretty Cure! and Soaring Sky! Pretty Cure teams, continuing the franchise's tradition of bringing together beloved heroines for its annual theatrical releases.
